I read somewhere on your blog that you’ve stayed at “Villa Italiano” in Akumal. I’m doing some research on the place and thinking about staying there. I’m looking for unbiased reviews, good or bad. Is there any info you might be able to provide about this property?

Hey Rebecca, i just saw your comment, the blog was under maintenance and was not checking comments. I stayed in Villa Italiano in Jan 2008 for one week. The house is fully equipped, the service was very good and the location is perfect if you rent a car. The beach is beautiful and peaceful, and you are just 20 miles away from Playa del Carmen in case you want to go for dinner, and a few minutes away from Akumal (restaurant, supermarket, amazing snorkeling).
